SHREVEPORT, La. – The Millsaps College women's soccer team hit the road on Wednesday for a non-conference match with the Ladies of Centenary College. The Ladies led 1-0 at halftime and added on a pair of insurance goals in the second-half to come away with the 3-0 win.
The Majors fall to 0-2-1 while Centenary improves to 2-0 on the season.
The Ladies controlled possession of the ball for the better part of the first half, but the Majors defense was able to keep them off the scoreboard for nearly thirty minutes. Unfortunately, Centenary broke through in the 29
th minute for the first goal of the match.
Centenary added another goal in the 55
th minute, and then ended any hopes of a Millsaps comeback with a third goal in the 84
th minute.
Defensively,
Alyssa McCarron ended the contest with seven saves to push her season total to a SAA-leading 20 overall.
On the offensive end for the Majors
Grayston Barron led the way with two shots, one of those being on goal.
Hannah Johnson added the only other Millsaps shot of the afternoon.

Millsaps returns home for a match with Greenville University on Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 5:00pm with live coverage provided on the Millsaps Sports Network.
