SHREVEPORT, La. -- The Millsaps College swimming team hit the road on Friday for the first dual match away from Jackson this season. The Majors took on Centenary College.

It was the second time these schools have faced off this season. Centenary won the previous meeting in Flowood back on October 18.

This time around Centenary again came out on top, however the Majors really closed the scoring gap. The women's team suffered an 82-67 loss, while the men fell by a final points total of 74-60

Notable Finishes
Olivia Baldwin continued the strong start to her collegiate career with a first place finish in the 200-yard individual medley. She finished with a time of 2:18.54 to pick up nine points for the Majors. 

Ronny DeFelicibus finished second with a time of 29.61 in the 50-yard freestyle. Teammate Lily Dorian was just a second behind DeFelicibus to give Millsaps two of the top three finishes. Macy Richardson and Haley Green were scored fourth and fifth respectively in that race. 

Ashley Wilson placed second in the distance event of the 500-yard freestyle.

In the men's 100-yard breaststroke Alden Macomber brought home first place with a time of 1:03.00. He edged out the second-place finisher by .01 seconds to pick up a crucial nine points for Millsaps. The freshman also scored a victory in the 200-yard individual medley. Macomber finished over seven seconds ahead of second-place. 

Sam Colie turned in a time of 1:06.50 in the 100-yard freestyle. That finish was nearly five seconds faster than his seed time. Cooper Clevenger also showed improvement with a 1:03.55 in the 100-yard backstroke. 

Trevor Galicki brought home 12 points in the 100-yard freestyle as he was scored in first place. 

What's Next?
On December 6 the Majors will travel to Arkansas for the 4th Annual Hendrix Invite. The two-day meet is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. on the opening day.
