Millsaps will wrap up their 2018-19 regular season as they head to Birmingham, Alabama for a Saturday matchup against Birmingham-Southern.
Last Time Out
The Majors completed their home regular season SAA schedule with a pair of games against Hendrix and Rhodes.
On Friday, Millsaps overpowered the undermanned Warriors, taking them down 66-34.
Morgan McCrea led all scorers in the win, dropping 18 points to go along with her five rebounds and four steals.
Millicent Butler and
Braxton Thomas added 11 points apiece for Millsaps.
Sunday was a big day in Jackson, as the Majors celebrated their five seniors as well as cut down the nets as they clinched the SAA regular season championship with a 70-50 win over Rhodes. McCrea was once again the Majors leading scorer with 15 points on an efficient 5-6 shooting.
Taelor Manning had a double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
Offensively, the Majors are tops in the SAA in PPG, scoring at an average of 63.5 points. McCrea is the team's leading scorer, ranking sixth in the SAA in scoring at 12.2 points/game.
Dia Fortenberry also averages double-digit scoring with 11.5 points/game, which puts her eighth in the conference. Butler sits third in the SAA in field goal percentage, shooting 47.7% from the field.
Defensively, Millsaps ranks third in the SAA, giving up just 54.5 points/game. Fortenberry sits sixth in the SAA, pulling down 6.9 rebounds/game while her 2.5 steals/contest is tops overall.

Birmingham-Southern College Panthers (9-15, 6-7 SAA) 1:00 PM, Birmingham, Ala.
Millsaps and BSC met in the first game of the SAA season on New Years Day with the Majors coming away with the 60-22 win. The Majors didn't allow a double-figure scorer that day while Butler had 16 points in the win. In that game, Millsaps turned 19 Panther turnovers into 26 points. They also outscored BSC in the paint, 40-14.
Key Players for BSC
- Emilee Olsen-Despite BSC's season struggles, Olsen has been a force for the Panthers, averaging 13.3 points/game, which is third in the SAA. She has scored at least 12 points in eight of the last 11 games, including 21 in a loss to Rhodes on Feb. 8. She also leads the SAA in rebounds/game, pulling down 9.8 per game.
- Derienne Black-A bench player, Black has played in all 13 of the Panthers conference games, adding 8.3 points/game, which is second on the team in SAA play.
