SHREVEPORT, La. -- On Saturday, the Millsaps College men's tennis team was in Louisiana for a match with the Centenary College Gents.
It was all Millsaps all afternoon long as the Majors only dropped a combined six sets in their 9-0 win.
How It Happened
The three doubles' matches were complete sweeps for the Majors as the teams of

Josh Shearin,
Henry Atkins/
Grayson Godbold and
Owen Stovall/
Carson Doles all shutout their opponents to set Millsaps up with an early 3-0 advantage.
Alex Gardiner got things rolling at the No. 3 spot in singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win and
Cooper Cearley quickly clinched the match for the Majors with his 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2.
Stovall picked up his second overall win of the day 6-3, 6-0, while
Grayson Godbold blanked his opponent 6-0, 6-0 at singles' No. 4.
Atkins and Doles closed out the 9-0 shutout win as they each also scored their second overall victories of the afternoon at singles' No. 5 and No. 6 respectively.
What's Next?
The Majors will stay in Shreveport for a pair of matches tomorrow. They will play LeTourneau University at 10:00 a.m. and wrap up the weekend with a 3:00 p.m. match against Austin College. Both matches will be held at the Cockrell Tennis Center.
