HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- After their first two spring tournaments were canceled due to inclement weather earlier this month, the Millsaps College men's golf kicked off their spring season at Canebrake Country Club and the Carey Collegiate Classic on Monday and Tuesday.
As a team, the Majors finished 10th place in a tournament that was won by Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
Mills McClendon led Millsaps with a T43 finish, and a two-day total of 157 (+13).
Matthew Hendrickson shot a 163, while
Eli Freeman was one stroke off with a 164.
Paul Sweeney's 165 and the 175 from
Michael Mathes Hughes rounded out the tournament for the Majors.
What's Next?
Millsaps will be back on the course later this week when they travel to Georiga for the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational hosted by Oglethorpe University. Play at the Pine Lakes Golf Club gets underway on Friday, March 15th.
