JACKSON, Miss. -- Tuesday afternoon featured not one but two in-state rivals in Belhaven University and Mississippi College. Millsaps played very well in their last two games of preaseason. 

How It Happened

Game 1

The Majors, started off the night of competition facing the Blazers. The first set showed no signs of nerves from the newcomers. Different lineups were implemented in set two which allowed Belhaven to come back with a win of their own but Millsaps won the match convincingly in three sets. 

Game 2

Two sets is all it took for Millsaps to win the final scrimmage against the NCAA DII member MC. The Choctaws came out swinging big but Alyssa Jolly was up for the challenge, giving her team some strong blocks. Despite being outsized, the Majors played up to the competition.

What's Next?

The Majors will join the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Colorado College, Clarkson University, and Edgewood College in the Colorado College Classic. Millsaps' first match is Friday at 11 a.m.
