Sophomore setter
Margaret Richardson had a solid outing with two team-highs of 20 assists and 16 digs.
Both teams traded points in the first set to a 15-15 deadlock. BSC (18-9, 10-4 SAA) would score the next three points and force a Millsaps timeout. Looking to keep pace following the break, Millsaps (10-13, 4-10 SAA) would score off a block by Macaluso and Richardson. However, BSC would end the set on a 7-1 run.
In the second set, both teams were once again tied at 15-15. BSC would surge ahead with a 9-2 spark to make the score 24-17. Trying to stay alive in the second set, Millsaps responded with consecutive kills from Jolly,
Bre Reed and Macaluso before a kill by BSC would end the rally.
A 7-2 run by BSC to start the crucial third set would initiate an early Majors timeout. Millsaps would inch their way back into the set when back-to-back aces by Macaluso would make it a 21-20 deficit. BSC would go on to score four of the last five points of the match to complete the sweep and advance to the semifinals.
