SHREVEPORT, La. – The Millsaps women's soccer team had its planned Saturday season opener moved from Jackson to the campus of LSU Shreveport due to prolonged winter weather in the city. Millsaps was able to kick off its season on Monday, but were upended by LSU Shreveport, 3-0 in an exhibition.
The Pilots outshot Millsaps, 19-3, but goalies
Alyssa McCarron and
Maddie Moore combined for eight saves on 11 on-target attempts to keep the Majors in the game.
Junior forward
Onyx Magno lead Millsaps (0-1) with three shot attempts. Carlota Alcalde stopped the two shots she faced for LSU Shreveport (5-4-1).
