JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps volleyball team (0-4, 0-4 SAA) was defeated in both matches of their home opening doubleheader against Berry College (2-0, 2-0 SAA) inside the Hangar Dome on Sunday.
MATCH ONE: 3-0
The Majors were defeated in three sets, 21-25, 21-25, 22-25, to begin the day. Freshman middle hitter
Breanna Macaluso impressed in her home debut tallying 14 kills and 38 attacks, while adding 10 digs.
Sophomore setter
Mary Tebbe was everywhere on the court with 26 assists. Libero
Hannah Mattke added a team-high 14 digs.
Alyssa Jolly provided two blocks and two kills.
MATCH TWO: 3-1
The Majors were defeated 22-25, 10-25, 25-21, 19-25 in the second match of the day.
Macaluso led the way with 17 kills and 12 digs. Freshman
Gabby Deas also had an exceptional game with 11 kills on 35 attacks.
Once again, Tebbe was a helping hand on offense and defense with 28 assists and a team-high 13 digs. Mattke added 12 digs as well.

Bre Reed excelled in their defense with a combined seven blocks.
