MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Millsaps women's tennis program continued its perfect start to Southern Athletic Association (SAA) match play with 9-0 sweep at Rhodes on Saturday. On the men's side, the Majors were downed 7-2 at the Dunavant Tennis Complex.

Up Next: Both teams will face the same Rhodes Lynx on Sunday, beginning at 10 a.m.

Saturday Women's Recap: 9-0
Millsaps (6-2, 5-0 SAA) was victorious in all facets against Rhodes (4-4, 3-2 SAA) on Saturday, earning a 9-0 win. The pairings of Grace Gaskins/Camille Fremaux (8-3), Maggie Dabadie/Morris Kelly Clayton (8-6) and Marissa Brown/Ella Shields (8-5) swept doubles to boost Millsaps to an initial 3-0 lead. All three duos are now 5-0 on the season.

The Majors continued their dominance in singles with wins on all six courts. Gaskins, Dabadie, and Brown all won in straight sets. Additionally, Gaskins, Fremaux and Shields remained undefeated in singles action to move to 5-0.

Saturday Men's Recap: 2-7
The men's team battled valiantly, but came up short 2-7. Rhodes (5-4, 4-1 SAA) claimed two doubles wins. Kells Hecht and Benjamin Falk secured an 8-7 victory for Millsaps (4-4, 2-3 SAA) on Court 3.

Rhodes won five out of the six singles matches. Alex Gardiner was the lone singles winner for the Majors.

Gardiner improved to 3-2 in singles action while Kells and Hecht won their first match as a duo this season.
