MONTGOMERY, Ala. The Millsaps men's basketball team put up a strong, competitive fight but fell short to Huntingdon College, 83-65 inside the Catherine Dixon Roland Arena.
Senior wing
Rodreekas Bush (16 points), classmate and guard
Doug Watson (11 points) and junior

The Majors forced 12 turnovers, but were outrebounded 40-20. The bench did perform better, putting up 25 points to Huntingdon's 18. Millsaps' largest lead was five points midway through the first quarter.
Bush made a difference offensively going up against high-ranking guards. He was on a hot streak throughout out the first half shooting over defenders' hands to knock down a three-pointer and tie the score at 20-20.
Rising freshmen

Trailing by 11 points 5:26 into the second half, the Majors would make a methodical comeback. Phillips tied the game at 59-59 with a strong layup with just under nine minutes to play.
The Hawks then erupted for a 12-1 run to take control of the game late. An Ursin layup and freshman
Dakota Gasca three-pointer closed the gap to 71-65 with 3:28 remaining. However, Huntingdon scored the last 12 points to post a final 83-65 tally.
