ATLANTA – A decorated season by Millsaps women's basketball senior forward Andrea Rayford was recognized by the Southern Athletic Association's coaches as she was named to the All-SAA Second Team on Tuesday.

Rayford, a product of Olive Branch, Miss., was an offensive and defensive force and led the Majors in several statistical categories. She paced Millsaps in rebounds (144), rebounds per game (6.0), blocks (20) and her 10.2 points per contest were second most.

She also was an incredible shooter leading Millsaps in field goal makes (86), field goal percentage (54.1 percent), free throw makes (72) and second in free throw accuracy (73.5 percent).

Across the conference, the Biology major finished fourth in blocks per game (0.83), seventh in free throw percentage, 11th in rebounds per game and 17th in points per contest.

Additionally, she played in all 24 games for the Majors with 21 starts and finished the season with 21 steals and 28 assists.
 
On Jan. 30, 2022, Rayford posted her first career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds at Berry. In the classroom, she owns a 3.58 GPA and is on track to be named to the SAA Academic Honor Roll for the fourth time.
 
Off the court Rayford was named to the President's List in Spring 2021 and has been awarded the Presidential Scholarship. She is also involved with the Pan-African Student Alliance, InterVarsity and Black Girl Projects.

She currently works as a lab assistant in the chemistry department and completed a summer medical internship with Dr. Lutz and Dr. Travelstead. Rayford is currently participating in heart failure research with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
