BESSEMER, Ala. – The Millsaps women's golf team concluded regular-season play at the Panthers Classic on the Bent Brook Golf Course, Monday and Tuesday.
Freshman
Annie Piggott finished tied for 30th at 15-over par (78-81—159) to pace the Majors. Teams competed on a par 72 course over 5,603 yards with one round on Monday and the second round on Tuesday.
Millsaps finished 11th in a field that included six ranked programs, including No. 1 Emory, No. 2 Carnegie Mellon and No. 4 Methodist.
Piggott ended the two days with four birdies. Senior
Lindsey Gordon ended her tournament with an impressive 79 in Round Two to finish tied for 55th (94-79—173).
Freshman
Sophia Albisini (59th, +39) and junior
Kati Albright (60th, +40) rounded out the Major scoring. Both
Mallory Noble and
Sarah Pehler also competed for Millsaps.
The women's team now readies for the SAA Golf Championships scheduled for April 22-24 in Braselton, Ga. at the Château Élan Golf Club.
