MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Millsaps men's and women's tennis programs were bested by Centre in the SAA Tennis Tournament Quarterfinals at the Adams Tennis Complex on Friday.

Men's Recap vs. No. 3 Seed - Centre: 0-5

Centre would claim a 3-0 lead following three competitive doubles matches. Each court was tied 4-4. On Court 2, sophomore Jakub Bobinski and senior John Kimball were tied as late as 6-6 but fell 8-6.

The match was played in a clinch format and the Colonels claimed the match with wins on Courts 4 and 5. Kimball won the first set, 6-2 on Court 1 before the clinch. Additionally, Vaccaro, Jackson and Bobinski were tied or ahead in the second set after each dropping the first.

Women's Recap vs. No. 4 Seed - Centre: 0-5

The Majors battled in three evenly matched doubles matches, narrowly falling in each. Morris Kelly Clayton and Camille Fremaux fell 8-7 in a tiebreaker, while Marissa Brown/Kiana Everhart along with Mary Dabadie/Madison Williams were both downed 8-6.

Centre would claim the match with wins on singles Court 2 and 5, but Brown was one point away from winning on Court 3 (7-5, 5-2). Fremaux was moments from playing in a third set (2-6, 6-3) and Williams was battling in the second set when the match was clinched (4-6, 3-2).
