SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Millsaps women's soccer team played the Sewanee Tigers in the Quarterfinals of the SAA Tournament on Saturday. While the Majors put up a strong defensive effort, they would fall 3-0.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Emily Lozano was the stand out performer for this team, concluding the match with six total saves.
Lozano was forced to make two critical saves in the opening 15 minutes of the match. The Tigers would eventually open the scoring moments later off a goal scored by Samantha Ferry.
Sewanee would get another goal to close out the first half in the 42nd minute, off the boot of Lily Reinhardtsen.
The second half saw shots by both sides. The Majors had a shot from freshman
Alex Bremond, but the shot failed to score in the 83rd minute.
Ferry would get her brace from a goal scored in the 58th minute, putting the Tigers up by three.
The remainder of the match was a defensive showcase, with Lozano tallying saves in the closing minutes and the Millsaps defense having to make several calculated stops.
Millsaps will now await to see the announcement of the All-SAA Team in the coming days. Dowdy has previously been named All-

Mary Ranager all secured All-SAA Honorable Mention recognition last season.
