ATLANTA – The Southern Athletic Association announced the 2023-24 Men's and Women's Basketball Preseason Polls on Friday. The Millsaps women's basketball team was predicted to finish third following the regular season, while the men's team was selected eighth.
All coaches from across the conference were asked to make their predictions on where teams would rank ahead of the SAA Tournament in February. A first-place vote granted a team eight points, a second-place vote totaled seven points, a third-place vote six and all the way down.
The Millsaps women's program tallied 35 points and the men's team received seven points.
Millsaps women's basketball will open its season by traveling to Montgomery, Ala. to take on Huntingdon on Friday, Nov. 10th, beginning at 1 p.m.
Men's basketball will then take on LaGrange in the first game of the season in the Huntingdon College Classic on Saturday, Nov. 11th at 5 p.m. Live video and live stats will be provided throughout the season at gomajors.com.
