MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Millsaps men's basketball team fell in the SAA Quarterfinal to Rhodes, 100-73 inside the Mallory Gymnasium on Sunday.
Senior
Doug Watson tallied a season-high 23 points to go along with two steals and a block. Rising freshman
Dakota Gasca posted 12 points, two assists, a steal and a block. Junior
Cam Rucker added 11 points, a steal and an assist.
Rhodes was effective offensively throughout the game, outshooting the Majors 62.5 percent (40-64) to 38.7 percent (24-62).
The Lynx raced out to an 18-2 advantage to open the game and held a 52-27 margin at intermission. Rhodes continued its hot stretch from the floor and held at least a 25-point lead throughout the second half.
As the season comes to a close, Millsaps looks ahead to when the SAA announces the All-Conference Team this week.
