Undefeated Week Propels Haley Franklin to SAA Weekly Honor

Senior Averaged 22.7 Points, 7.7 Rebounds, 6.3 Assists in Trio of Triumphs

CANTON, Ga. – The Millsaps women's basketball team looked impressive in three victories during the week, which was led offensively by senior guard Haley Franklin. Southern Athletic Association head coaches recognized her standout performances and voted her the SAA Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week on Monday.
 
The reigning SAA Player of the Year was electric, helping the Majors to wins over Belhaven (92-78), Centenary (81-59) and Emory (82-54). She averaged 22.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 2.7 steals per game on 59 percent shooting (23-of-39).

In Sunday's win hosting Emory, Franklin netted 34 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block to best the Eagles. She finished with 18 points and seven assists against the Blazers on Tuesday, while tallying 16 points, nine assists and eight rebounds against the Ladies on Saturday.
 
Franklin collects her eighth SAA weekly honor of her career, entering her third campaign representing the Purple and White. She joins junior forward Elyse Warren (Nov. 11) with SAA Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week nods this season.

The 5-1 Majors will be back in action on Saturday and challenge Huntingdon College in the Millsaps Thanksgiving Classic opener. Game start is set for 3 p.m. with live video and live stats available at gomajors.com.
