JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps men's and women's golf programs are looking to finish where they left off after a strong Fall 2023 slate. The Majors are scheduled to compete in four final competitions ahead of the SAA Golf Championships, April 26-28.
Both teams will be returning key veterans and several newcomers will be ready to step up. The women feature four returners, while the men include 13 student-athletes, including five new faces.
On the women's side, junior
Annie Piggott has already been named a program-best SAA Women's Golf Athlete of the Week three times.
The Lindsay, Ontario product was named to the Space City Classic All-Tournament Team, tying for third place at 10-over par following two rounds on Feb. 27.
The third-place showing is the best of her career, having previously placed fourth on two occasions. In four competitions this season, Piggott has finished tied for seventh, fourth, tied for 15th and now tied for third.
Fellow classmate
Sophia Albasini has finished as the second-best placing Major behind Piggott in all four events this season. She finished tied for 22nd at the Legends Cup and tied for 34th at the Joe & Lee Duncan Invitational. Expect sophomore
Lily Moore and junior
Mallory Noble to continue improving their way up the leaderboards as well.
The women will next compete in Bossier City, La. at the Hal Sutton Invitational, March 18-19. An additional regular-season event is expected to be added before both programs compete together in Dickson, Tenn. for the SAA Golf Championships, April 26-28.
On the men's side, freshman
Preston Severs has stepped in as the top contributor for the Majors. He claimed his first collegiate top-10 showing on Feb. 27 tying for ninth at the Space City Classic. He finished plus-10 following three rounds of action (74-73-76—223).
Junior
Will Danielson will be returning to the tee for the Majors and has showcased solid performances as well. He tied for 13th at the same event at plus-12 as well as tied for 29th at the Alamo City Classic in October.
Also look for Birmingham-Southern graduate transfer
Price Bryan to make an immediate impact. He ended the Space City Classic tied for 22nd at plus-16 in his first competition as a Major.

The men will be active with three competitions during the month of April. Millsaps heads to New Orleans, La. for the Wolf Pack Invitational (Apr. 8-9), Florence, Ala. for the Visit Florence RJT Invite (April 14-16) and conclude at the SAA Golf Championships (April 26-28).
