AUSTIN, Texas – A quartet of Millsaps men's and women's basketball student-athletes earned spots on the 2023-24 CSC Academic All-District® Basketball Teams, the College Sports Communicators announced on Tuesday. The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's and women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). Additionally, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's total contests during the fall campaign. They must also be sophomores or further along in their academic careers.

Roth played in all 25 games while making 21 starts for the Majors. He averaged 6.1 points per game while preserving a 3.85 cumulative GPA. Roth is double majoring in Applied Mathematics and Economics. He hopes to become a data analyst for the Navy after he graduates.

Ughovwa appeared in all 25 games while making 16 starts. He averaged 6.7 points per game while maintaining a 3.57 cumulative GPA in the classroom. Ughovwa is pursuing a degree in Government and Politics. He intends to enroll in Law School upon graduation.

Novak saw action in all 29 contests for the women's squad, holding 28 starts. She netted seven points and 4.7 rebounds per game for the Majors while upholding a 3.59 GPA. Novak is double majoring in Applied Mathematics and Business Administration and hopes to pursue an engineering career.

Warren made 29 appearances and was named to the All-SAA Second Team. She averaged a double-double of 11.1 points and 10.8 rebounds while maintaining a 3.97 cumulative GPA. Warren is working towards a Neuroscience degree, with plans to become a brain surgeon following graduation.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-April.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
