AUSTIN, Texas – Millsaps women's golf junior student-athlete Annie Piggott concluded a memorable season by earning a spot on the 2023-24 CSC Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team, the College Sports Communicators announced on Tuesday.

Piggott currently owns a 3.626 cumulative GPA, while pursuing a Biology degree. She was named First Team All-SAA after finishing third place at the 2024 SAA Golf Championships in April.

The Lindsay, Ontario, native was the first-ever First Team All-SAA or All-SCAC player in Millsaps women's golf history, which dates back to 1992.

Piggott ended the event at plus-7 with nine birdies and 32 pars as well as became the first female golfer in SAA history (since the conference fielded the sport in 2013) to be named SAA Women's Golfer of the Week four times in a single campaign. The three-round score was the lowest-ever by a Millsaps women's golfer at the league championship as well.

On Tuesday, March 19, Piggott claimed her first collegiate victory at the 2024 Hal Sutton Invitational in Shreveport, La. where she cleared the field of 39 competitors by four strokes.

A member of the 2024 Space City Classic All-Tournament Team, Piggott placed seventh, fourth, 15th, third, first, sixth and third, respectively during the fall and spring months.
 
The junior also secured a spot on the Millsaps President's List following the Spring semester and made the Spring SAA Academic Honor Roll for the third time.
 
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators and nominated by members, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

NCAA and NAIA Women's At-Large Academic All-America® First-, Second- and Third-Team honorees will be announced on Tuesday, July 16.

The At-Large Teams recognize competitors outside of baseball, basketball, cross country, football, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field as well as volleyball.
