MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Millsaps men's soccer team fired numerous chances at goal and were rewarded with a 2-0 triumph over Huntingdon at the Samford Soccer Complex on Tuesday. Junior

Hamauei stopped eight shots, while freshman
Drew Mckeithen registered an assist and shot on goal. Junior

Ai Suzuki tallied three on-target opportunities.
Millsaps led the Hawks, 16-9 on shot attempts and 13-8 on shots on goal. The Majors also led 5-4 on corner kicks.
Suzuki forced the first save only 90 seconds in and that intense attack would continue as Millsaps outshot Huntingdon, 9-3 in the opening half.
Cagle tallied an opportunity and Alexandre posted back-to-back shots in the first nine minutes of the second half looking for the go-ahead marker.
Millsaps broke through in the 63rd minute when Payne found the back of the net. Mckeithen provided the assist as the Majors went ahead, 1-0.
Ricks gave the Majors insurance in the 72nd minute with a goal after two additional shots were pushed aside. Millsaps kept the Hawks off the board and off the shot sheet the remainder of the game, securing a 2-0 victory.
The Majors will next compete in the Hendrix Invitational and face the University of the Ozarks, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
