GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Millsaps men's and women's cross country teams competed in the 2025 Southern Athletic Association Cross Country Championships on Southwestern University's campus on Saturday. A trio of Majors set personal records at the event.

Sophomore Greer Hernandez and freshman Devion Hart both cracked the top-30 in the men's 8K. Hernandez was 26th clocking a swift time of 26 minutes, 35 seconds. He finished just ahead of Hart, who placed 27th with a personal-best time of 26:37.7.

Freshmen Dallas Stricker (27:44.7) and Mason Castleberry (28:04.8) cross the line closely in 59th and 68th as well. Sophomore Phillip Antis completed the Major scoring in 88th with a time of 31:06.0.

First year Wyatt Wheeler also competed well, closing in 93rd with a time of 36 minutes, 20.9 seconds.

On the women's side, freshman Sarah Grace Hoggatt set a personal best at 6K with a mark of 26:27.6. Sophomore Claudia Dempsey also ran well in 77th with a time of 27:21.0.

Freshman Molly Northam also set a new personal standard, crossing the finish line in 29:14.9 and 86th place.

Hernandez and Dempsey were both named to the SAA All-Sportsmanship Teams following the championship races.

The Millsaps men's cross country team will next compete in the 2025 NCAA South Region Championship, slated for Saturday, Nov. 1 in Salem, Va.
