JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps College Department of Athletics announced
Justin LeBlanc will be stepping down as the head women's basketball coach and will enter his role as Millsaps athletic director in a full-time capacity on Monday.
LeBlanc assumed the title of athletic director on January 1, 2025. A national search for the next Millsaps women's basketball head coach will begin immediately.
LeBlanc most recently was named a part of the 2024-25 Southern Athletic Association Women's Basketball Coaching Staff of the Year, recognizing him as the conference's top coach for the second consecutive season and fourth time overall. LeBlanc also led the Majors to back-to-back SAA regular season titles, finishing with a 22-5 record (10-2 SAA).
On Nov. 30, 2024, he became the winningest coach in program history after earning his 130th victory helming the Majors. In nine seasons in Jackson, LeBlanc established a 146-83 Millsaps career record.
LeBlanc was also named the Region 6 Coach of the Year after coaching the Majors through a historic 2023-24 season. Millsaps swept the SAA regular season and postseason titles, advancing to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time since 1996.
The team secured the most wins in program history (24) and home-court victories (16-0). It was the first unblemished home schedule since 2013-14. Lastly, Millsaps posted the most conference wins (12) since 2018-19.
While coaching the Majors to great heights, LeBlanc served as associate athletic director in 2023 and 2024.
He began his coaching career as an assistant coach for the Millsaps men's basketball team. LeBlanc later gained valuable experience as the women's basketball head coach at Centenary College in 2015-16.
A 2006 graduate of Millsaps and member of the men's basketball team, LeBlanc earned his degree in business administration with a minor in French. He completed his master's degree in sports administration from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2011.
LeBlanc will now continue overseeing Millsaps College's 18 NCAA Division III athletic programs offering a unique perspective as administrator, head coach and former student-athlete.
