BOSSIER CITY, La. – The Millsaps women's golf team returned in their first competition of the spring, which was highlighted by senior Annie Piggott's third career collegiate victory at the Hal Sutton Invitational on Tuesday.

Piggott earned her second triumph at the event and second victory of the season. After two rounds of action at the Golf Club at StoneBridge, the senior carded a plus-3 (75-72—147).

The Lindsay, Ontario, native won in a playoff on the first hole with a par.

Piggott this has placed first twice, second, third and 23rd in 2024-25.

Freshman Abigail Cerwick earned her second top-10 showing of the season, tying for seventh and carding a plus-22 (85-81—166). Her tournament total of 166 matched a season-low score.

Senior Sophia Albasini also finished tied for 24th at plus-46 (91-99-190).
 
The Majors will next compete in the Eagle's Bluff Intercollegiate in Bullard, Texas, March 31 and April 1.
