Women's Soccer Falls to Centre in Regular-Season Home Finale

Majors Stopped by Conference-Leading Colonels, 4-0 on Sunday

JACKSON, Miss. — The Millsaps College women's soccer team was challenged by Centre College falling to the Colonels, 4-0 on Sunday at Harper Davis Field.

Freshman Kayla Borden played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded five saves.

Centre (11-2-4, 7-0-1 SAA) finished with 31 shots and nine on goal. The Majors also had stretches in which they kept the Colonels from adding to the score despite facing multiple shots and corner kicks throughout their home matchup.

Sunday's contest featured the final home match for seniors Reese Brasseaux, Alex Bremond, and Becca Quick.

The Colonels clinched the SAA regular season crown by scoring in the third, sixth, 32nd, and 60th minutes.

The Majors will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 30 to face Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, beginning at 5 p.m. Live video will be provided at FloCollege.com, while live stats will be provided on gomajors.com.
