The Majors are led by a three-headed monster on both offense and defense on their roster. Their leading scorer this season is the SAA First Team member Garin Freeman, who is averaging 16.9 points per game to go along with 6.7 assists per game. Lot of those assists are going to SAA Second Team Tia Anderson, who is averaging 16 points and eight boards this season. Last but certainly not least, is the SAA Defensive Athlete of the Year and All-SAA First Team Elyse Warren, who herself is averaging 15 points and 17 rebounds this season.

The Majors are on a roll and will be difficult to stop heading into their first matchup of the tournament against Southwestern.

No. 1 Trinity University

They are led by All-SAA First Team Kylie Minter, who averages 16.3 points on 45 percent shooting this season. They will face the winner of No. 4 Oglethorpe and No. 5 Berry.

No. 2 Centre College

Centre is coming off of an SAA tournament win last season, and will also have a nice start with a first round bye.

They are led by SAA First Teamer Lily Reid, who is averaging 15 points and five rebounds this season. Their leading rebounder is Arian Nipp, who is grabbing 7.4 boards a game. They will face the winner of No. 3 Millsaps vs. No. 6 Southwestern.

No. 4 Oglethorpe University

Oglethorpe cements their place in the tournament with a very strong 4-0 finish to their regular season.

They are led by the SAA Athlete of the Year and SAA First Teamer Keimarya Rivera, who is averaging 19 points and nine boards this season, where she also gained the title of most career points by an SAA women's basketball player. Oglethorpe will meet their cross-state rival in the first game of the tournament, No. 5 Berry.

No. 5 Berry College

Berry finished their regular season off with an 8-2 record and will have the advantage of hosting this season's tournament.

The Vikings are spearheaded by Elly Callahan and Briaiah Lewis. Callahan is averaging 12 points and 7 rebounds, with 13 blocks, while Lewis is averaging 11 and five on 43 percent shooting. They will meet No. 4 Oglethorpe for the third time this season to start off tournament play.

No. 6 Southwestern University

Southwestern takes the No. 6 spot in the SAA tournament in their first season in the SAA. Southwestern has three double digit scorers this season. SAA Second Teamer and Rookie of the Year Neely Castillo led the way with 14 points and 5 rebounds, while Trinity Benitez had 12 points and 7 rebounds. Rounding that out was Adrianna McCoy who averaged 11.6 on 41 percent shooting. Southwestern will start the tournament against No. 3 Millsaps.
