JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps men's and women's cross country teams look to continue running in the right direction on the off-roads after releasing their 2026 schedule, announced on Wednesday.
The Majors will compete in four regular-season meets throughout their fall slate ahead of postseason action.
The teams begin their season open close to home by traveling to the Choctaw Trails, racing in the Mississippi Christian University 5K Opener on Sept. 4.
Keeping their shoes laced, Millsaps will then journey to Huntsville, Ala., for the Southern Showcase hosted by Jacksonville State University on Sept. 18.
Staying ahead of the competition, the Majors will join other collegiate runners on Oct. 3 at the Mountain Goat Invitational (6K/8K), hosted by Sewanee, in Sewanee, Tenn.
Millsaps will then wrap up their 2026 regular-season schedule with another quick trip to Clinton for the Watson Collegiate XC Classic, hosted by Mississippi Christian University on Oct. 16.
Postseason competition includes the 2026 Southern Athletic Association Cross Country Championships (Oct. 31) hosted by Sewanee. Any qualifiers will race in the NCAA South Region Championships (Nov. 14), followed by elite qualifiers at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Northfield, Minn. (Nov. 21).
