SEGUIN, Texas — Millsaps men's golf team junior Miles Harrison excelled at the John Nellermoe Classic, tying for second after three rounds at the Starcke Park Golf Course, Monday and Tuesday.
Harrison set a personal-best spot on the leaderboard and 54-hole score low, carding a 2-under 214 (70-73-71) with 13 birdies. The 70 he shot in the first round tied his all-time collegiate low round as well.
Senior Jason Howe followed leading a close group of Majors. Howe tied for 39th out of 68 finishers at plus-14 (80-73-77—230).
Sophomore William Jeonsson ended tied for 44th at plus-15 (74-81-76—231), while junior Charlie Berglund tied for 49th at plus-16 (78-75-79—232). Also competing was freshman Matthew Yeung, who placed 57th at plus-21 (79-78-80—237).
The Millsaps men's golf team next competes at the Carla Spenkoch Invitational, Oct. 12-13 in San Antonio, Texas.
