Biography

Senior Season (2021): Neely appeared in 24 games and made 13 starts for the Majors … Neely was the second-most walked hitter on the season with 14 walks … He totaled seven runs, six hits, and six RBIs … He tallied a .133 batting average and .857 fielding percentage.

Junior Season (2020): Neely played in nine games and made four starts for the Majors, in a season that was shortened due to the CoVID-19 pandemic... He had one hit on the year, a RBI single in a matchup with Berry College on March 14th.

Sophomore Season (2019): He appeared in 29 games and made 15 starts for the Majors... He posted a .102 batting average with five total hits, including one double...  Neely hit his first collegiate homerun in a win over Centre College on March 2nd.

Prior to Millsaps: He played at Hinds Community College.

High School: 4x baseball letterwinner and 3x football letterwinner at Central Hinds Academy (Raymond, Mississippi)... He was a 4x All-District honoree and played on the 2017 MAIS 3A All-Star team (baseball)... In football, he was a 3x All-District honoree, the team captain, named the Most Valuable Defensive Player, and won the Phil Hana Christian Leadership Memorial Award... He helped his baseball team with four district championships and a MAIS state runner-up finish in 2017... He was a member of the Honor Roll and the National Honor Society for Science. 

Personal: Majoring in Biology with a Minor in Business... His grandfather Danny played collegiate football at both Millsaps College and Hinds Community College... He has completed box turtle research with Millsaps College.
