2008: Academic All-SCAC selection ... started 43 of 44 games appeared in ... 28-for-169 at the plate for a .278 batting average ... set career-highs in RBIs (28), doubles (16, sixth in the SCAC) and home runs (four) ... scored 34 runs ... had 13 multi-hit and five multi-RBI games ... carried an 8-game hitting streak during the season ... belted a grand-slam against Louisiana College on April 8 for his third four-RBI game of the year ... career-high 263 putouts to go along with 18 assists from behind the plate.

2007: Academic All-SCAC and First Team All-SCAC selection ... appeared in 39 games, earning the start in 38 ... collected 37 hits in 124 at-bats for a .298 batting average with 34 runs and 25 RBIs ... also tallied 51 total bases, nine doubles, one triple and his first career home run at Louisiana College on April 11 ... issued 17 free passes ... had three sacrifices and was hit by five pitches ... had a career-high four hits in a 4-for-4 day at the plate in Game 1 against Rust College ... also went 3-for-4 against Huntingdon on Feb. 27 with a career-high five RBIs and a stolen base ... notched his first career triple on April 17 against Belhaven ... threw out 17 runners in 46 attempts from behind the plate .. had 213 putouts and 29 assists against just four errors for a .984 fielding percentage.

2006: Appeared in 18 games as a true freshman, earning the start in 12 ... went 8-for-50 from the plate for a .160 average ... tallied nine total bases, seven runs, six RBIs, a double, a walk and a sacrifice fly ... had 70 putouts and 10 assists against one error for a .988 fielding percentage.

High School: Played for head coach Stacey Hester at New Hope HS ... 2003 state champions ... won the team's Trojan Award in 2004 and 2005 ... an all-district selection.

Personal: Son of Andy and Sherry Boyd ... has two brothers, Lee (24) and Landon (13) majoring in biology.
