Fall 2009: SCAC Defensive Player of the Year on the gridiron and First Team All-SCAC ... two-time D3football.com National Team of the Week selection ... also SCAC Defensive Player of the Week in Week 11 ... first player since 2003 to record 100 tackles in a season, tallying a career-high 102 tackles (48) to tie for the SCAC lead ... finished five of the final six games with 10 or more tackles ... had a career-high 17 tackles against Birmingham-Southern in the season finale ... added 7.5 tackles-for-loss, six quarterback hurries, three interceptions and a sack ... also recovered two fumbles.

Spring 2009: D3baseball.com All-America Honorable Mention, SCAC Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-SCAC, Two-time SCAC Player of the Week, ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-South Region, ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI Second Team ... started all 44 games and pounded out a career-high 73 hits (led SCAC) with a .406 batting average (5th in SCAC) ... slugged a career-best .706 with a .451 on-base percentage and 127 total bases (led SCAC) ... had a team-leading 25 multi-hit and 18 multi-RBI games ... carried a career-long 17-game hit streak from Feb. 11-March 17 ... had a career-high five hits in a 5-for-5 game vs Austin College on March 8 and drove in a career-high five runs against Mississippi College on Feb. 17 in a 3-for-5 outing with three runs scored ... drove in a career-high 55 runs (led SCAC) and scored 47 more ... hit a career-high 11 home runs and added 17 doubles (led SCAC) and two triples ... stole 14-of-16 bases ... had five sacrifice flies, drew 16 walks, and hit by three pitches ... carried a .989 fielding percentage with just four errors.  

Fall 2008: Played football for the SCAC Champion Majors, recording 57 tackles (5th on the team) ... added 5.5 tackles-for-loss, 2.0 sacks and one QB hurry.

Spring 2008:
Appeared in 31 games at third base as a true freshman, starting in 16 ... went 27-for-78 from the plate for a .346 average (third on the team) ... drove in 21 runs and scored 20 more ... also had nine doubles, five home runs and two triples ... had a season-high four hits at Trinity (4-for-4 in Game 2) on Apr. 12 and a season-high four RBIs vs Southwestern in the SCAC Tournament ... seven multi-hit and five multi-RBI games ... ended the year on a 7-game hitting streak ... had 55 total bases and a .705 SLG%.

Fall 2007: Played in seven games for the SCAC Co-Champion football Majors ... had 24 tackles (17 solo) and a QB hurry at the linebacker spot ... 12th in total tackles and first amongst true freshmen.

High School: Played baseball four years at Nettleton High School as an infielder/pitcher for head coach Jerry Pitts ... 3A State Champions with a 34-10 record in 2007... finished with a .493 batting average with eight home runs, 16 doubles, two triples and 52 RBIs ... 73 hits his senior year ranks second in state history for hits in a single season ... First Team All-District in 2006 and 2007 ... First Team Daily Journal, Monroe County First Team ... named one of the top 30 players in the state by the Clarion-Ledger ... participated in the NEMCABB All-Star Game ... team MVP his senior year ... also lettered in football four years and was named the team MVP his senior year.

Personal: Son of Tommy and Patti Hawkins ... has a younger sister, Makenzie (16).
