Christopher Harwick

Christopher Harwick was named the interim men's soccer coach at Millsaps in December of 2018 after the departure of coach Steve Voltz.

Harwick completed his third season as an assistant coach for the Majors. He holds multiple duties within the men's soccer program. A key responsibility for him is aiding in the identification and recruitment of high school, club, junior college, and international student-athletes. Harwick also acts as the goalkeeper coach, planning and executing unique training sessions for his athletes. He supervises and coordinates the team's video analysis. He also works with the equipment room and keeps inventory of jerseys, team apparel and training gear.

Harwick also has experience coaching men and women at the club level, first, working with his childhood team UV Lightning SC (Hanover, New Hampshire) by assisting with their summer camps, then, volunteering in college for a local club (Calvert Soccer Association) as a team assistant. He then spent the summer of 2017 as a Youth Development Intern with D.C. United soccer club. He worked primarily with the U-23 team and assisted with the clubs' summer camps. Harwick has also worked as a coach and counselor at The Soccer Academies at Dartmouth and Elite Soccer Camps of New England.

Harwick graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2016 with a degree in public policy studies and a minor in history. He was a member of the soccer team all four years and was elected as a captain for his final season.

His love of the beautiful game has also allowed him to travel abroad, first, attending the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and later visiting Barcelona, Spain with his St. Mary's team on their pre-season trip.
