Jacob Cockroft joined the Millsaps men’s soccer staff in the summer of 2023 as an assistant coach. Cockroft began playing soccer in his hometown of Kosciusko, Miss.
Cockroft was a part of the Brandon Futbol Club where he was selected to the Mississippi ODP State and Regional Pool. After graduation, Cockcroft was a member of the MACCC All-Stars.
Furthering his education, Cockroft attended East Central Community College where he played two years and played an additional two years with Belhaven University.
Cockroft did not step away from the field as he begin his semi-pro journey with Gaffa FC and Mississippi Blues.
In 2018, Cockroft continued to follow his dreams by coaching the Kosciusko Men’s and Women Soccer team. He later began working with Jackson Futbol where he became the operation assistant and has been a part of the program for nine years.
Cockroft earned his bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Coaching from Belhaven University in May of 2023.
