Senior Season (Spring 2021): All SAA Honorable Mention … Thigpen appeared in 12 games and amassed two starts for the Majors … She averaged 3.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game … Thigpen led the Majors with 1.0 blocks per game; which was good enough to finish sixth in the SAA … Thigpen tied her career high with 11 rebounds against Rhodes College on Febraury 13th … She also tallied a career high 12 points in a victory over Birmingham Southern College on Febraury 28th.
Junior Season (2019-20): Named to the SAA Academic Honor Roll... Due to injury she did not play in any games.
Sophomore Season (2018-19): Thigpen played in 18 games and made two starts for the Majors before an injury ended her season that saw Millsaps go on to win the SAA Regular Season Championship... She averaged 2.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game... Finished the season with a team-high 24 blocked shots.
Freshman Season (2017-18): Played in 8 games for the Majors, totaling 133 minutes on the floor… She averaged 3.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
Prior to Millsaps: Letterwinner in both basketball and track & field... Named the Freshman of the Year for the 2013-2014 season, the Best Defensive Player for the 2014-2015, 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 seasons... The Region 8 Division 8 Co-Defensive Player of the Year for the 2014-2015 season... The Player of the Year for the 2014-2015 season... The Best Rebounder for the 2016-2017 season... All Division 8-6A for the 2016-2017 season ... Graduated with Highest Honors.
Personal: Majoring in Chemistry with a Minor in Education... Active with the Pan-African Student Alliance, Black Athlete Empowerment and the Black Girl Project x Millsaps... Completed a summer research project with Dr. Wolfgang Kramer working with ELP's to create a maleimide with different spacers to test the delivery effectiveness of cancer drugs to cancer cells.
