ATLANTA, Ga. - After a tough loss to Berry the night before, the Millsaps Majors returned to action on Saturday afternoon as they took on the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels. The Majors were able to get back on target as they knocked off the Petrels in straight sets, 25-21, 25-17, and 25-13.

The Petrels (2-6, 0-6 SAA) battled the Majors (11-4, 5-2 SAA) in the first set, but Millsaps pulled out a 25-21 win and cruised to a 25-17, 25-13 road win to keep close distance with Birmingham-Southern and Berry in the Southern Athleitc Association Standings.

Sophomore Caroline McKey led the way with 10 kills and 12 digs, while senior Kasey Laird added 11 kills and ninr digs and senior Raven Scott had 10 kills.

With Berry defeating BSC today, the Majors are one game back of the Vikings and the Panthers as they get a shot at both teams later down the road. 

Millsaps returns home this weekend as they welcome in the Hendrix Warriors and the Rhodes Lynx. The Hendrix game is set for Friday at 7 p.m. while the Rhodes game will be Saturday at 1 p.m.
