JACKSON- The Millsaps Majors volleyball team sent senior Casey Brown off with a win in her final home match with a 3-2 victory over the Belhaven Blazers.

The Majors split on senior day after being swept by the UT-Dallas Comets early on Saturday morning.

In that match, the Majors could not solve the serve of the Comets' Abbie Barth. An ace by senior Casey Brown and a kill from Caroline McKey helped get the Majors to within 10-7. Barth then rolled off an impressive 15 straight points as the Comets took set one at 25-7.

The second set went back and forth the whole way. Courtney Huie and Lexus Andrews each had a couple of kills off sets by Taylor Ziegler to help the Majors in a set that had 10 ties. A block by Andrews and Peyton Mansell gave the Majors a 19-18 lead. The Comets would win seven of the next eight points to take set two, 25-20.

The Comets kept that momentum in the third set, rolling out to a 15-5 lead. A McKey ace and a kill by Huie stemmed the tide rolled off six of the games last seven points to close out the match.
