ATLANTA- The number two ranked Emory Eagles stayed perfect at the hands of the Majors on Friday afternoon, winning 25-13, 25-13, 25-18 in game one of the Emory Invitational. 

The Majors hung with the Eagles in each of the three sets, but could not avoid the big runs by the Eagles. The Majors found themselves down 10-6 in the first set before the Eagles 10 of the next 13 points to take complete control of the set

The Eagles used that momentum from set one to go on an early second set run. The Majors found themselves quickly down 14-4 and 16-6. The Majors battled back to get within seven on a few occasions before dropping the set. 

The third set was nip and tuck, with the Majors grabbing leads of 13-10 and 15-14. Emory then caught fire down the stretch and reeled off 11 of the next 14 points to steal the set and close out the match. 

Individually, Caroline McKey led the Majors with nine kills and nine digs, just missing out on a double double. Mary Wilson chipped in with 10 assists to lead the Majors in that category. 

The Majors won't have time to dwell on this match, they are set to face Southwestern (Texas) in a matter of minutes in the second match for the Majors at the Emory Invitational.
