JACKSON- The Rhodes Lynx used a balanced offensive effort and upset the Majors in four sets (25-17, 22-25, 25-23, 25-22) in a conference match on Sunday afternoon. 

The Lynx had two players with double digit kills and two more with nine as they gave the Majors their first conference loss of the year. The Majors could not get on track in the first set, falling 25-17. The Rhodes got multiple runs midway through the set to go up 16-8 and 19-11 en route to the first set win. 

The Majors grinded out a second set win 25-22, in a game that saw nobody lead by more than three points at any given moment. Caroline McKey had three big kills down the stretch of the second set and won the final point off her serve. She finished with a double double of 17 kills and 14 digs. 

The third set was just as close, but the Lynx scored five of the final eight points of the set after the game was tied at 20. The Lynx took advantage of some attack and set errors by the Majors to win 25-23. 

The Majors found themselves down 11-7 before riding a Lexus Andrews service streak to win six straight points and take a 13-11 lead. Millsaps could not sustain the momentum and Rhodes battled back to retake a 20-18 lead. Lexus Andrews again had the hot hand and the Majors would ride her serve to a 22-20 lead. Rhodes would rally, win five of the last six points and win the set and the match.

The loss drops Millsaps to 2-1 in SAA play and 9-7 overall. The Majors hit the road next weekend, travelling to Sewanee and Centre next Saturday and Sunday.
