SEWANEE, TN- Caroline McKey and Alex Morphew each had double-digit kills as the Majors downed the Sewanee Tigers three sets to one (25-17,19-25, 25-18, 25-20) on Saturday afternoon. 

The Majors grabbed the early momentum, riding a McKey service run to build a 15-10 lead in the first set. After the Tigers trimmed the lead to 16-14, Lexus Andrews and Mary Wilson each turned in solid service rotations to help the Majors clinch the first set 25-17. The Millsaps' defense was in full effect, forcing the Tigers into four errors to help put the set on ice. 

The second set was more reminiscent of the five-setter the teams played at Birmingham Southern. The teams traded runs and points until the game was tied. However, the Tigers got hot down the stretch and won the set's final six points to knot the match at a set apiece. 

The third set also was tightly contested until Olivia Kleyer and Taylor Ziegler came up in the service rotation. Kleyer won three straight points to build momentum for the Majors and Ziegler's ace closed out the set to give the Majors a leg up on the contest. 

Not wanting the match to go to a deciding fifth set, the Majors erased two and three point leads by the Tigers midway through the set. Andrew's ace got the Majors rolling and McKey added a couple of kills to put the Majors up 20-17. McKey then closed out the match, putting away an assist from Ziegler and the Tigers as a result. 

The win moves the Majors to 10-7 overall and 3-1 in SAA play. They continue this road weekend with a trip to Centre tomorrow. First serve is set for 10AM central time.
