Box Score Jackson, MS – The Hendrix Warriors completed a comeback win against the Majors earlier today to continue a seven-game winning streak.
The Warriors, who are still unbeaten in conference play, improve to 15-6 (8-0) on the year, as the Majors fall to 10-10 (4-5). After winning the first two sets, the Majors fell in five to the Warriors in an intense Sunday game.
Each set in today's match was heavily contested as the Majors won the first two games 25-22 and 25-21. The early momentum continued a solid weekend of play by the Majors as they totaled 24 kills in the first two sets.

Lexus Andrews led the Majors in total kills with 19 while
Olivia Kleyer totaled 14 for the day. In digs, conference defensive player of the week,
Ashley Zamjahn led Millsaps with a total of 31. Today's game marked the third straight game Zamjahn played the role of libero for Millsaps as well.
The Hendrix comeback began in the third set where the Warriors held off a late Majors rally to win 25-19. Lauren Petrisin and Sara Dyslin led the Warriors in kills for the game with 19 and 14 each.
Felicia Beeman led Hendrix in digs with 26 for the contest as the Warriors used the momentum from the third set win to earn a 3-2 Sunday victory.
In the fourth set, the Warriors rallied after falling behind 13-9. Sara Dyslin and Allison Gaia combined to finish the final points of the game, giving Hendrix a match tying 25-23 fourth set win.
The back and forth, intense fifth set featured three different ties and four lead changes. After falling behind 6-3, the Majors rallied to lead 10-8. The Warriors, however, answered the rally from Millsaps by breaking a 12-12 tie to win 15-13.
Hendrix outlasted the Majors in the decisive and intense fifth set to extend their winning streak to eight games. Today also continues an unbeaten streak for the Warriors in conference play.
For Millsaps, today's loss drops them to 2-1 over the weekend and 10-10 for the year. The Majors will look to regroup for a series of three final regular season home games starting next Wednesday.
Next up for the Majors is another conference game played at home against Birmingham Southern this Wednesday. Game is set for Wednesday, Oct. 17th for a 2 pm start in the Hangar Dome.
