JACKSON, MS- Millsaps' senior infielder/pitcher Keith Shumaker was named a first-team All-American for the second time and headlined three players named All-South by d3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches' Association (ABCA).
Shumaker set the Millsaps' all-time hit record with 256 in his storied career, one that is capped off with his third All-American honor and the second first-team nod for both the ABCA and d3baseball. The senior hit .390 at the plate with 52 runs scored on the season and went 8-3 on the mount with a 2.48 earned run average.
Joining Shumaker on the All-South first team were outfielders William Chenoweth and Isaac Glenn. The trio were named first team All-South by both d3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches' Association (ABCA).
Glenn hit a sizzling .436 on the season with a team high 45 runs batted in. He led the conference in slugging as well as on-base percentage and was a first-team All-SAA selection.
Chenoweth, also an All-SAA selection, led the Majors in doubles with 21 and home runs with five while hitting .356 on the season and was second on the Majors with 38 runs driven in. The senior also recorded three saves out of the bullpen and recorded eight outfield assists.
