Box Score JACKSON, MISS. – In the first end of their back-to-back conference home games this weekend, the Majors were unable to top Berry College and lost the match 3-0 (13-25, 15-25, 19-25).
Individually, the Majors received decent offensive performances from Susannah Williams, Regan Riddle, and Erica Bennett, who led the way with 23 kills collectively. They also combined for a great deal of the Majors total attacks with 39 together.
Setter Shelby Marsh logged 30 sets and defensive specialist Ashley Zamjahn registered 45 digs. Meredith Gates, Madelyn Pearce and Presley Stoltzfus followed up behind Zamjahn with 28 digs, 15 digs, and 16 digs respectively.
The Majors competed hard, collecting 128 digs to Berry's 81, and fought until the very end, with their best and closest set coming in the last set.
The Majors are hoping to rebound in their next outing vs. Oglethorpe University. Millsaps will be looking for their first conference win today on Saturday, Oct. 1.
