BIRMINGHAM, Al. -- The Millsaps College women's soccer team fell to LaGrange College(2-11-2) 0-3 in a game at a neutral site in Birmingham, Al.

The Majors(1-11-1) held LaGrange down early, keeping the game knotted up at 0-0 for the first 30 minutes of the game before Rachel Jenkins of LaGrange scored the first goal of the game. Millsaps started strong, with Grayston Barron attempting the first shot of the game within the first minute and outplaying LaGrange in corner kicks 3-1 in the first 23 minutes of the game. Maria Welch attempted all three corner kicks for the Majors in the first half and five total for the game. Molly Ambrose remained aggressive on offense, standing out once again with five shots and two shots on goal. Mary Kathryn Lawrence, Emily Gager, and Barron also tallied shots for the Majors. Goalkeeper Olivia Gattuso faced ten shots and saved seven of them.

The Majors will be returning home for two consecutive home games on Friday, Oct. 14 vs Berry and Sunday, Oct. 16 vs Olgethorpe.
