JACKSON, Miss. --The Millsaps Men's Soccer team (7-6, 3-1) will play Berry College (8-5, 3-1) on Friday night in a matchup that will pit the two teams tied for second place in the SAA against each other. On Sunday afternoon the Majors will have their Senior Day festivities while facing Oglethorpe University (4-4-2, 4-0), who sit atop the conference standings, for a massive match in the SAA standings.
The Vikings will ship into Jackson feeling good after a weekend that included two conference wins where Sophomore midfielder Milton Tama provided an assist in each match. Millsaps will have a similar air of confidence after defeating Centre in an impressive comeback that went deep into overtime.
Millsaps will hope Sophomore defender Nat Edwards continues to provide stability in defense, where the Major's have conceded only 1 goal per game in their past 3 victories, as well as a presence in the attack were he supplied 2 assists over the weekend.
On Sunday Oglethorpe will be yet another challenging opponent, having scored 3 goals in each of their last three conferences games. The Major's defense looks forward to the task, starting four of the seniors that will be honored before the match.
Kickoff for Friday's contest will be at 7:30 PM, and Sunday's match will begin at 2:30 PM. Come support the Majors Men's Soccer team this weekend as they play big games!
