JACKSON, Miss. -- Millsaps Men's Soccer team set to honor eight seniors on Sunday, Oct. 16 vs. Oglethorpe University at 2:30p.m. Men's Soccer will pay tribute to Jonathan Huebbe, Jan Bergk, Taylor Hayes, Gregory Hurley, Javier Garcia, Steven Chrobok, Matt Crooker, and Carson Hughes before the game.
Goalkeeper Jonathan Huebbe, a Dortmund, Germany native, appeared in 66 games for the Majors, piling up 234 saves on 709 shots faced while only giving up 98 goals allowed, and also achieved seven shutouts in his four years guarding the goal.
Taylor Hayes, a Ponte Vedra, FL native, appeared in 65 games for the Majors, scoring three goals and contributing 11 assists, 42 shots and 23 shots on goal.
Javier Garcia, a Guatemalan native, appeared in 54 games for the Majors, amassing nine goals, ten assists, 82 shots, and 37 shots on goal.
Matt Crooker, a High Point, NC native, appeared in 51 games for the Majors, achieving eight goals, six assists, 72 shots and 33 shots on goal.
Jan Bergk, a Langgons, Germany native and third year senior, appeared in 46 games for the Majors, achieving five goals, five assists, 29 shots attempted and 12 shots on goal.
Carson Hughes, a Olive Branch, MS native, appeared in one game for the Majors and made significant contributions to the Majors soccer program both on and off the field.
Gregory Hurley, a Memphis, TN native, appeared in 40 games for the Majors, achieving one goal, one assist, three shots and one shot on goal.
Steven Chrobok, a Basel, Switzerland native, appeared in 31 games for the Majors, putting up five goals, three assists, 40 shots and 21 shots on goal.
