Box Score JACKSON, Miss. – Men's Soccer dominates winless Louisiana College (0-15) in their last home bout of the year to improve to 9-7 on the year.
In this game, Millsaps started slow, getting down 0-1 on a mental lapse in the first half, before gathering themselves and dominating Louisiana for the rest of the way. The Majors outshot Louisiana 38 shots to seven, got 11 more corner kicks and dominated the time of possession for most of the night.
Everybody on the Majors got in on the action. Nico Roth scored two goals, Alex Bourland scored two goals, and Steven Chrobok and Dimitri Staursky scored a goal piece. Taylor Hayes had two assists and Matt Crooker got an assist as well. Coach Steve Voltz talked about how he was excited for his team and how everybody was able to get playing time and put in quality minutes. Both Alfie Miller and Colton Townsell got playing time at Goalkeeper and made saves as well.
The Majors will be looking to take the momentum from this dominating win on the road against Birmingham-Southern on Saturday, Oct. 22.
