Box Score JACKSON, Miss. -- Majors Women's Volleyball fall in a 3-1 decision to the 2nd ranked team in the SAA, Birmingham-Southern (17-4, 10-2).
As a team, the Majors were outperformed in kills, assists, and aces by a relatively wide margin. Individually, the Majors still received good performances. Offensive Player of the Week nominee, Regan Riddle led the team in kills with 13 and Erica Bennett followed her with seven kills. Reigning SAA defensive player of the week Ashley Zamjahn led the majors with 20 digs, continuing her streak of leading Millsaps in digs. Meredith Gates also had 17 digs and Payton Passantino had 12 digs as well. Setter Shelby Marsh led the team per usual with 24 assists.

Birmingham-Southern was led by Caroline Johnson with 20 digs and had four different players with at least nine digs. This match makes Birmingham-Southern 2-0 against this Majors this year in conference play. The Majors will be looking to rebound and move pu the ranks in the SAA after this game on the road against Berry and Oglethorpe this weekend.
