JACKSON, Miss. --The Millsaps Men's Soccer team (9-7, 4-2) will travel to Birmingham, AL to face off against Birmingham-Southern(9-4-1, 3-2-1) for positioning in the SAA standings.

Currently, Millsaps sits at 2nd place in the SAA conference at a record of 4-2, with Birmingham-Southern right behind them at 3rd place at a record of 3-2-1. This game between the two essentially decides which team will be the two seed in the conference tournament starting next week.

This game comes following a domination by the Majors over a winless non-conference Louisiana College, finishing with a score of 6-1. Many Majors chipped in valuable contributions and a majority of the players got playing time, with Nico Roth and Alex Bourland both leading the Majors with two goals a piece. This game also comes after two other Millsaps games that had meaning for the SAA conference standings heading into the conference tournament. Millsaps beat Berry to boost themselves firmly into the 2nd place team in the conference, however fell to top ranked Oglethorpe in a tough match for the top seed in the conference.

Millsaps was led this weekend by offensive player of the week nominee, Nico Roth who had two beautiful assists and one goal in their win on Friday against Berry. Jonathan Huebbe played well at goalkeeper per usual and the Majors were a few plays and unfavorable referee calls from a perfect weekend. The Majors will be looking to avenge that loss to Oglethorpe against Louisiana College.

Kickoff will be at 4 p.m. in Birmingham, AL as the Majors Men's Soccer team jockeys for position amidst a crowded SAA conference against BSC.
