Box Score JACKSON, Miss. -- Millsaps Women's Volleyball(6-17) suffered a heartbreaking loss in five sets to Belhaven(10-16), 3-2(22-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-19,14-16).

The game was as close as possible, coming down to needing extra points in the fifth set before Belhaven ultimately came out on top. Similar to this month's earlier matchup between the two, this match was extremely competitive, going five sets and featuring outstanding individual performances from players on both sides of the ball.

Perennial defensive player of the week nominee Ashley Zamjahn racked up 39 digs on defense, Payton Passantino was behind her with 23 digs, Shelby Marsh had 22 digs and both Presley Stoltzfus and Meredith Gates contributed 16 digs a piece. Erica Bennett led the Majors with 16 kills, Passantino was behind her with 13 kills and Regan Riddle followed up with 12 kills.Susannah Williams led all Majors with four assisted blocks, while Bennett also had four assisted blocks and one solo block.

These two teams also collected canned goods at the door in order to support the We Will Go Food Ministries! The home and away team contributions to the foundation were both very successful.
